quick bread

quick bread [kwik bred] noun

banana-bread

A type of bread leavened with baking powder and/or baking soda instead of yeast. Quick breads are quicker to make because the batter is baked immediately and doesn’t have to rise (yeasted breads require time for the dough to rise prior to baking.) They tend to have a soft, almost cake-like crumb, especially when compared to yeast breads. Banana Bread is a popular quick bread.

Defrost in the fridge overnight.
