Kix Marshmallow Treat Balls
Makes: About 8 balls
  • 5 cups Kix cereal
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 cups miniature marshmallows
  1. Coat a heatproof bowl with nonstick spray; place cereal in bowl. Coat a large silicone spatula with nonstick spray as well. Line a baking sheet pan with aluminum foil and lightly coat foil with nonstick spray and set all of these aside.
  2. Melt butter in medium pot over medium heat. Add marshmallows and melt over medium heat, stirring frequently. Immediately scrape mixture on top of cereal and use coated spatula to fold and combine. Allow mixture to cool briefly. Coat hands with nonstick spray and form cereal mixture into balls about the size of a large orange. Compress the ball so that it holds a spherical shape. Place on pan to cool. If ball shape comes apart, the mixture was too warm. Simple allow to cool and re-press into a ball shape. Repeat with remaining mixture. Best served the same day but may be stored in airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
