Also called frangipane. A mixture of eggs, butter, sugar and some sort of almond product (actual almonds, almond flour or even almond paste) that results in a thick, spreadable or pipeable mixture. It is spread in tart shells and pastries before baking.
Almond cream is very easy to make in a food processor fitted with a metal blade. (Recipe coming).
